ON SITE LABORATORY
Your laboratory tests will be drawn 20 minutes prior to your office appointment. We cannot draw any lab orders from other providers because we are not a registered draw station.

Alert the laboratory technician if you are aware of any conditions that may affect your blood collection. This may include fainting or light headedness, or medications that thin your blood.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I take my daily medication before I have my blood drawn?
Yes you can unless you were instructed by your provider not to take them.

Do I need to be fasting for my blood tests?
Unless specified by your physician there are only a few tests that require fasting. This would be marked on your appointment card.

When will my doctor have the results?
Most tests will be completed by the time you see your doctor that day. However, some tests are sent out to a reference laboratory. The turnaround time for these tests varies.

How do I collect my urine specimens?
Urine Collection: Open the top of the specimen container. Do not touch the inside of the lid or container. You may be given a cleansing wipe to use; you will need to catch the urine midstream in the container. Place the lid on the container and close tightly so that the urine does not leak out. Place the container in the designated area of the bathroom.

EKG TESTING
If ordered by our provider we will perform EKG's onsite the day of your appointment.

MEDICATION INJECTIONS
We give medication injections in the office that our providers order. They need to be scheduled appointments with the nurse.
